Lyrical lemonade festival 2018 lineup11/12/2023 This year’s festival takes place over three days across three main stages. Nevertheless in 2018, the fashion-forward Chicago hip hop conglomerate Lyrical Lemonade gambled on live music. Bennett has helped organize summer concerts at the Portage Theatre for the past two years, but this year's event, presented in partnership with local production company SPKRBX, marks the first time that the one-day festival will be held in an outdoor venue. Now located at SeatGeek Stadium, this incredible event is back for it’s fifth year. Established in 2018 as a one-day, 10,000-attendee sold-out festival, the festival continues to grow year after year. The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash Festival, Chicago, Illinois. The festival is curated by Chicago hip-hop blog Lyrical Lemonade, which is run by Cole Bennett, a 22-year-old videographer and artist manager who has established himself as a rap tastemaker, working with rising acts like Ski Mask the Slump God, Yung Bans and Lil Skies (all of whom will perform at the fest). The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash is the product of two of Chicago’s most well-respected platforms, joining forces to create a one-of-a-kind event catering to the city’s budding youth movement. Playboi Carti, Post Malone, Young Thug, and Gunna will. This festival has a hip-hop-focused bill headlined by Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$, cloud rap phenomenon Trippie Redd, and local rapper Vic Mensa. Lyrical Lemonade has revealed the lineup for the Summer Smash Festival being held this summer in Chicago. The latest addition to the slate is the Lyrical Lemonade SUMMER SMASH, which will take over Douglas Park on August 19th. It's already July in Chicago, but we're still hearing about new summer music festivals joining Chicago's already-crowded calendar in the coming months.
